– Paper Towels – Large shallow bowl – Whisk – Frying or sauté pan – Tongs
– 2 soft shell crabs, thawed – 1 tbsp old bay seasoning – 1/2 cup all-purpose flour – 1 large egg – 1/3 cup whole milk – Vegetable oil – 1/4 cup mayonnaise – Hot sauce
– Pat excess moisture from crabs with paper towel. – Stir together flour and Old Bay seasoning in a large shallow bowl. – Whisk together eggs, milk, and hot sauce in a separate shallow bowl.
– Heat oil in a frying or sauté pan until shimmering. – Coat crab in flour mixture, then dip in egg mixture, and dredge in flour again. – Fry crabs in hot oil for 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
– Set fried crabs on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. – Serve and Enjoy
