  • 1 blender (I highly recommend Vitamix blenders)

Ingredients

  • Lime wedges
  • fresh strawberries hulled
  • Margarita salt or kosher salt
  • 1 Cup tequila
  • 2/3 Cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 Cup triple sec

Instructions

  • Find a dish as wide as your glass and pour Margarita salt or kosher salt until it's about 1/4-inch deep. Take a lime wedge and run it around the top of your glass.
  • Flip the glass upside-down and dip the top into the salt, making sure to turn it to get a nice salt coating.
  • In a blender, toss in some fresh strawberries, tequila, lime juice, honey, and triple sec. Hit the pulse button until everything becomes super smooth.
  • Let the mix chill for about 3 minutes. If there's foam on top, just scoop it off. Taste the mixture and, if needed, add more tequila or sweetener to match your preference.
  • Grab your salt-rimmed glass and fill it about halfway with ice.Pour in your fantastic strawberry margarita mix.Top it off with a lime wedge for that extra zing.Serve it up right away and enjoy the fruity goodness!

Notes

  1. Margarita Salt Options: If you’re feeling fancy, try making homemade margarita salt. Otherwise, go for the easy route with kosher salt or even sugar.
  2. Strawberry Choice Matters: Opt for fresh strawberries to get the best flavor in your cocktail. Frozen ones tend to be less flavorful and can make your drink taste a bit too watery.
  3. Tequila Swap: For a bolder twist, you can substitute Mezcal for tequila. It brings a similar but stronger flavor to the mix.
  4. Sweetening Choices: Honey is the go-to sweetener, but feel free to switch it up. Substitute with simple syrup, agave nectar, or sugar according to your taste preferences.
  5. Orange Liqueur Alternatives: Triple sec is the classic, but if you want to experiment, try Grand Marnier, Cointreau, or Curacao as substitutes for a unique twist.
  6. Frozen Margarita Variation: Craving a frosty treat? Throw some ice into your blender along with the ingredients. Blend until it reaches that slushy perfection. Around 5 cups of ice usually does the trick.
  7. Strawberry Daiquiri Twist: If tequila isn’t your thing, switch it up! Substitute rum for tequila to make a delightful strawberry daiquiri.
