How to Prevent Cheesecake Cracking?
- Avoid Overmixing: Be careful while preparing cheese filling not to overbeat the eggs as it can incorporate too much air, leading to cracks when the air bubbles expand during baking.
- Gentle Cooling: After baking, let the cheesecake cool gradually in the turned-off oven with the door slightly ajar. This slow cooling process helps prevent sudden temperature changes that could cause cracking.
- Room Temperature Ingredients: Make sure all your ingredients, especially the cream cheese and eggs, are at room temperature before mixing. This ensures a smooth and even filling without lumps.
- Try a Water Bath: Consider using a water bath, also known as a bain-marie. Place the cheesecake pan inside a larger pan filled with hot water, which surrounds the cheesecake with gentle heat. This water bath method helps maintain moisture and temperature, reducing the risk of cracks and perfect baking.
- Use a Thermometer: Monitor the internal temperature of your cheesecake with a thermometer. Stop baking when it reaches around 145°F. As the temperature rises, so does the likelihood of cracks, so this step can help prevent them.

I tried your Philadelphia Cheesecake recipe, but unfortunately, it didn't turn out as expected. The texture was a bit denser than I anticipated, and the flavor seemed slightly bland. Maybe I missed a step, but I'll give it another shot with closer attention to detail.
