Hey everyone, Austin Carter here from Beyond the Bayou Blog. Today, I’m sharing a recipe that’s close to my heart – Oreo Brownies. These treats are the perfect mix of fudgy chocolate goodness and cookies and cream flavor.
I stumbled upon this recipe by accident, actually. One night, I was craving both brownies and Oreos but couldn’t decide which to have. So, I thought, “Why not both?” I tossed some crushed Oreos into my go-to brownie batter, and wow, it was a game-changer. This recipe tastes even nicer with Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream.
Since that night of sweet tooth indecision, I’ve made these Oreo brownies countless times. They’re always a hit at potlucks and family gatherings. Even my picky nephew, who usually turns his nose up at homemade desserts, can’t resist these.
Ready to give them a try? Let’s dive into this simple but delicious recipe that combines two classic treats into one irresistible dessert.

What to Serve with Oreo Brownie?
Store These Brownies for Later!
- Wrap Each Brownie: Individually wrap each brownie in plastic wrap, then wrap it in aluminum foil for double protection to maintain freshness.
- Store in Freezer: Place the wrapped brownies into a large freezer-safe plastic bag, ensuring they are sealed tightly.
- Freeze Up to 2 Months: Brownies can be stored in the freezer for up to 2 months without compromising taste or texture.
- Thawing: To enjoy, thaw a brownie by placing it on the counter for a few hours until softened to room temperature. Alternatively, reheat in the microwave for a warm treat.
- Freshness Tip: For the best taste, freeze freshly baked brownies as soon as possible. Older brownies may become dry and lose their freshness over time.
