Time For My Personal Tips!
Tip 1: Use room temperature eggs and milk for a smoother batter.
Tip 2: Don’t open the oven door while the piston is baking to prevent it from deflating.
Tip 3: Dust the piston pan with flour instead of greasing it for easier release.
Variations:
- Lemon Piston: Add the zest of one lemon to the batter for a refreshing citrus flavor.
- Chocolate Chip Piston: Fold in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips for a decadent twist.
- Nutty Piston: Stir in 1/2 cup of chopped nuts such as walnuts or pecans for added crunch.

Has anyone else tried adding different vegetables to this dish? I’m thinking about experimenting with some bell peppers. My mom always said they add a nice crunch!
