Hi there! Anne here from Beyond the Bayou Blog. Today, I’m excited to share a simple and sweet treat with you – My Strawberry Milk Recipe. As someone who’s spent years working in restaurants, I’ve picked up a few tricks for making everyday drinks extra special.

This recipe takes me back to my childhood, but with a grown-up twist that I think you’ll love. It’s perfect for those warm summer days when you need something cool and refreshing. I’ve been making this for my family and friends, and it’s always a hit.

What I love about this recipe is how easy it is to whip up, even after a long day. So, whether you’re looking for a quick breakfast drink, an afternoon pick-me-up, or a dessert in a glass, this strawberry milk is sure to hit the spot. Let’s get started!

What Is Korean Strawberry Milk?

Korean strawberry milk is a popular summertime drink served in many cafes across Korea. Unlike regular strawberry milk, which often contains artificial flavorings and processed syrups, Korean strawberry milk is made entirely with real strawberries.

The defining characteristic of Korean strawberry milk is the presence of fresh strawberry chunks. These pieces add a delightful texture and a burst of fresh strawberry flavor, something that’s often missing in other versions of strawberry milk.

To make the strawberry syrup, fresh or frozen strawberries are gently heated until they come to a boil. This process thickens the strawberry puree slightly, making it sweet and syrupy without being as thick as jam. The result is a deliciously fresh and flavorful drink, perfect for cooling down on a hot day.

Guide To Store Leftovers For Strawberry Milk

  1. Use Airtight Containers: Store your leftover strawberry milk in airtight containers to maintain freshness and prevent any unwanted odors from the fridge.
  2. Refrigerate Promptly: Place the containers in the refrigerator immediately after making the milk to keep it fresh.
  3. Consume Within 2 Days: Strawberry milk is best enjoyed fresh, but you can store it in the fridge for up to two days. After this period, the quality may decline.
  4. Shake Before Serving: Ingredients might separate during storage. Shake the container well before serving to ensure the milk is properly mixed.
