– 2 cups milk – 3 large eggs – 1 cup 207g sugar – 2 tbsp butter melted – 1 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract – 1 tsp ground cinnamon – 1/2 tsp nutmeg – For the Vanilla Sauce
1. Grease an 8×8-inch casserole dish. 2. Spread 1-inch chunks of bread evenly in the dish. 3. In a large bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
4. Pour the mixture evenly over the bread, ensuring all pieces are soaked. 5. Let the bread soak for 20-25 minutes. 6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C). 7. Bake the pudding for 50-55 minutes until jiggly but set; ensure the center is fully risen.
