– Oven and Oven Mitts – Baking Dish – Mixing Bowls – Cutting Board and Knife – Measuring Spoons and Cups – Spatula or Wooden Spoon – Tongs or Forks – Aluminum foil
– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts – Salt and pepper to taste – 6 cups soft bread cubes – 1/2 cup melted butter – 1 cup diced onions – 1 cup diced celery – 1 teaspoon dried sage – 1 teaspoon dried thyme – 2 cups chicken broth
– Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). – Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Place them in a baking dish and bake until fully cooked, about 25-30 minutes. – Once done, let them cool a bit, then shred or chop into bite-sized pieces.
– In a large bowl, combine the soft bread cubes with melted butter, diced onions, diced celery, dried sage, and dried thyme. Toss everything together until well mixed. – Add the shredded or chopped chicken to the bread mixture and mix well.
– Gradually pour in the chicken broth, stirring continuously until the mixture is evenly moistened. Adjust the amount of broth as needed to achieve your desired consistency.
– Transfer the mixture back into the baking dish and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the dressing is cooked through. – Once baked, let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious homemade Chicken and Dressing!
