– Medium Heatproof Bowl – Saucepan – Wooden Spoon – Measuring Spoons – Baking sheet – Parchment Paper
– 2 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate bars* finely chopped – 2/3 cup heavy cream * – 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract – Coating: unsweetened cocoa powder crushed nuts, sprinkles
1. Chop chocolate and place in a heat-proof bowl. 2. Heat cream until simmering in a saucepan or microwave. 3. Pour hot cream over chocolate, let sit for 3-5 minutes. 4. Add vanilla extract, stir until chocolate melts.
5. Cover with plastic wrap, refrigerate until firm (about 1 hour). 6. Scoop and roll into tablespoon-sized balls. 7. Roll in toppings if desired, chill on parchment-lined pan until firm. 8. Transfer to airtight container and refrigerate. 9. Serve at room temperature for best flavor.
