– Large Skillet – Shallow bowl – Tongs – Measuring cups and spoons
– 4 ounce cube steaks – salt and pepper to taste – ¼ cup all-purpose flour – ⅓ cup vegetable oil – 2 cups water or as needed – 1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
1. Season cube steaks with salt and pepper on both sides. 2. Place flour in a shallow bowl and dredge steaks in flour, shaking off excess. 3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Brown the steaks in the skillet, about 3 minutes per side. 5. Add enough water to the skillet to almost cover the steaks. 6. Stir in beef bouillon and a pinch of salt.
7. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. 8. Cover and simmer for about 2 hours until the steaks are tender.
