Hummingbird Cake Recipe

– Mixing Bowls – Electric Hand Mixer

Equipments

– 3 cups all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking soda – ½ teaspoon baking powder – 1 teaspoon salt – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 1½ cups vegetable oil – 1 cup granulated sugar – ¾ cup packed light brown sugar

Ingredients

– 3 large eggs room temperature – 2 teaspoons vanilla extract – 2 cups mashed very ripe bananas – 1 can crushed pineapple undrained – 1 cup chopped pecans toasted

Ingredients

1. Preheat oven. Grease and line cake pans. 2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. 3. Combine wet ingredients in another bowl. 4. Mix wet and dry ingredients, add pecans, divide into pans.

Instructions

5. Bake until done, cool and remove from pans. 6.  Beat butter, cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla. 7. Layer cake with frosting. Chill before serving. Refrigerate leftovers.
