– Mixing Bowl – Measuring Cups – Spatula – Cake Pan – Knife – Cooling Rack
– 2 cups flour – 1/2 cup sugar – 1 tablespoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1/3 cup butter – 1 egg beaten – 3/4 cup milk – 1 cup of your favorite jam or a mixture of different kinds!
1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line an 8-inch square baking pan with nonstick foil. 2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a food processor. Add butter and process until fine crumbs form.
3. Transfer the flour mixture to a mixing bowl. Add egg and milk, stirring until just combined. 4. Spoon batter into prepared pan. Top with jam, swirling it into the batter with a knife.
5. Mix topping ingredients (except walnuts) until crumbly. Stir in walnuts and sprinkle evenly over batter. 6. Bake at 400°F for 30-35 minutes. Let cool for about an hour, then cut into squares and serve.
