– Large mixing bowl – Ice Cream Maker – Airtight Container – Measuring cups and spoons – Stirring Utensil
– 2 cups 2% milk – 2 cups heavy cream – 1 cup sugar – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon peppermint extract – ½ teaspoon salt – 3 drops green food coloring Optional – 1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
1. Stir milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, peppermint extract, and salt in a large bowl until the sugar dissolves. 2. Mix in green food coloring. 3. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker.
4. Churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions. 5. Add chocolate chips 10 minutes into the churning. 6. Continue churning until the ice cream thickens, about 20 more minutes.
7. Transfer to an airtight container. 8. Freeze until firm, about 2 hours.
