– Knife – Three shallow bowls – Baking sheet – Parchment Paper – Deep frying pan – Tongs – Paper Towels
– 16 oz block whole milk mozzarella cheese* – 3 large eggs – 3 cups Italian style bread crumbs** – salt – tallow beef
1. Slice mozzarella into 1/2 inch thick sticks. 2. Whisk eggs with salt and water in one bowl; place bread crumbs in another bowl. 3. Dip each cheese stick in egg, then coat with bread crumbs. Repeat for all sticks. 4. Repeat the egg and bread crumb coating for each stick.
5. Place breaded sticks on a tray and freeze for at least 2 hours. 6. Heat frying fat to 365°F. 7. Fry frozen sticks in batches for about 2 minutes, until golden brown. 8. Drain on paper towels and serve with marinara or your favorite sauce.
