- ¾ cup warm water - 1½ teaspoons sugar - 1 ¼-ounce package active dry yeast - 2 cups all-purpose flour - 1 teaspoon sea salt - 1 tablespoon plus - 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
1. Combine flour, water, yeast, salt, and olive oil in a mixing bowl. 2. Mix until a dough forms. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.
4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise until doubled in size. 5. Punch down the dough to release air bubbles. 6. Divide the dough into portions and shape into balls.
