Cook the bacon until crispy.
Spread softened butter on two slices of bread.
Beat two eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper in a bowl.
Heat a tablespoon of butter, oil, or cooking spray in a skillet over medium heat and pour in the eggs, spreading them evenly.
Place the buttered bread slices on top of the eggs, butter side up, with the bottoms about 1/4 inch apart.
Once the eggs are set, carefully flip the entire thing, fold the egg edges to fit the bread, and add cheese and bacon.
Cook each side of the sandwich until golden brown, then serve hot, cutting it in half or diagonally. Enjoy!
