In a separate large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, followed by the raisins.
Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
