In a large bowl, mix undrained beans, ¼ cup brown sugar, ¼ cup molasses, 1 chopped onion, and 2 tablespoons yellow mustard.
Pour the mixture into a disposable aluminum pan or cast iron skillet.
Cut bacon into 2-inch pieces and layer them on top of the beans.
Preheat your smoker to 225°F.
Place the pan or skillet in the smoker, uncovered.
Smoke for 2 hours until the bacon is golden brown around the edges.
Stir the beans to mix the bacon evenly into the dish.
